Steel Manufacturer Visit

Our Year 10 students had a great morning visiting Leach Structural Steel Ltd on the 15th October. They saw firsthand where the steel for our new school building is being manufactured.

The Leach Steel factory school trip was such an amazing opportunity that I had the pleasure of enjoying with friends and teachers, where I got to learn about all the interesting pathways there are when it comes to the construction industry. The Leach staff members were so lovely and informative during the visit and I truly enjoyed learning all the possible careers including : Quality Surveyors, Steel Erectors, Designers, Estimators and more! The site was so awesome to tour and I’m so grateful I had the chance to see the place making the foundation of the new PGHS build, and even sign one of the beams that will be going into it! And thank you to our teachers who made the day full of laughs and fun!!
