Nadia Wilson

I left PGHS in 2007 at the age of 16. After subsequent A Levels, then went on to study a Bmus (Hons) in Music at the Univeristy of Birmingham specialising in Performance on Clarinet. Following a gap year, she moved down to London to study for a postgraduate diploma in performance on clarinet at Trinity College of Music. Since completing her performance studies in 2005, She has pursued an active career as a musician and teacher. She has worked as a freelance clarinetist in a variety of orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Northern Ballet Theatre Orchestra, Seychelles International Festival Orchestra and New London Orchestra and is a regular member of the Orchestra of St. Paul’s based in Covent Garden. Nadia is a founder member of the prizewinning ensemble, the ‘London Myriad Ensemble.’ The LME have performed all over the world and been recorded and interviewed on BBC Radio 3 as well as being winners of the 2nd International Israeli Music Competition in 1999. “I will always remember and be grateful for the support and encouragement I received at Penwortham Girls’ and being part of the school orchestra gave me a passion for music which became my life.”
