Mrs A Cattanach

Associate Assistant Head Teacher and
Lead Teacher of Music. BA (Hons) PGCE

I began my teaching career back in 2002 and joined Penwortham Girls’ in 2005. Since then I have been privileged to teach many talented pupils and work alongside numerous inspirational colleagues to create some superb performances. In the Music Department we pride ourselves on providing a wide range of musical styles for the girls to experience. The last academic year was no exception with our fantastic production of ‘The Sound of Music’. I thoroughly enjoy making music with all students as it truly is a life enhancing art form.

Mrs V Little

Music Teacher. BMus (Hons) PGCE

I started teaching music in 2002 and have had a varied and fulfilling career to date including directing large scale musical performances overseas. I have been teaching at Penwortham Girls’ since September 2014 and I am so impressed with the total commitment and dedication shown by the girls here. One of my highlights since I started here was having the privilege to direct ‘The Armed Man’ by Karl Jenkins, working with local feeder Primary Schools and Hutton Boys as well as members of the local community. It is a wonderful feeling to be part of a coming together of different groups within a community to create a moving performance of such a high standard. Singing is my true passion and I hope to continue to share this with our girls.
