The Haven

The Haven is a tranquil, relaxing safe space where students can openly talk about their mental health without judgement.

It’s an alternative provision for students who may have had a prolonged period of absence which has meant the student has fallen behind on their work and needs support in catching up on their work to relieve some of the pressure. Acute mental or physical health issues or bereavement. They maybe upset about something and just need a sympathetic ear to listen to them. They can use this space to catch up on their class work and to access emotional support and advice.

Students can access the sensory room which has a comfy seating area, sensory lighting, sensory music and much more. This is a place to self-regulate and relax.

The Haven staff include:

Mrs Leigh – Haven Supervisor

Referrals to The Haven are made by either a Head of Year or a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
