Transition Support

The transition to Secondary School can be a worrying time for pupils and parents alike.

We have compiled a list of resources here to support you and your family on this journey.

We hope they are useful to you.

BBC Bitesize

BBC Bitesize have a fantastic amount of resources for both pupils and parents and deals with many issues we often find pupils and parents are worrying about. Will I get lost? Will I make new friends? Is the work going to be difficult?

Oxford University Press

Oxford University Press have also dedicated some pages to aid the KS2/3 Transition process. Here you will find a blog and a number of resources.

Young Minds

Young Minds is a charity we support here at PGHS. They have a section dedicated to transition called ‘Find Your Feet’. There are resources to complete in school in Year 6, Year 7 and a parents section too. Please have a look at these as a parent to decide which you would like to complete together as part of a home school session.
