School Uniform
Penwortham Girls’ High School Uniform Policy 2026–27
We expect all students to wear the correct school uniform and represent the school with pride. Parents and carers play an important role in supporting students to meet the school’s uniform requirements.
The Headteacher will be the final arbiter in decisions relating to acceptable uniform and appearance, or a member of SLT to whom the decision is delegated.
When a student chooses not to meet our uniform requirements, they will always be given a chance to do so. If they persist in their choice, there will be a consequence. Full details of consequences for failing to meet our expectations regarding uniform can be found in our Behaviour Policy, available in the Policies section of our website.

Temporary Uniform Adaptations
In exceptional circumstances, such as extreme hot or cold weather, the Headteacher may approve temporary adaptations to our uniform requirements. Any adaptations will be communicated to parents and carers where possible.
