Year 9 Product Design – Pewter Casting

The students have been creating their own designs for a pendent or keyring in D&T as part of a product design project. They have worked on 2D design to make a laser cut mould and then have used the brazing hearth to heat pewter to its melting point before casting their own design. There have been some lovely creative responses which just need to be polished to a high finish and some have also incorporated acrylic inlays. Well done, girls!
