Year 8 Design and Technology

Students in Year 8 will all get the opportunity this half term to enter a competition run by the V&A museum in London. The context is ‘home’ and the students will spend their lessons planning, creating and evaluating a design solution to a problem.

The judging panel this year includes:

Musician and entrepreneur, Loyle Carner

Paralympian, TV presenter and author, Ade Adepitan MBE

Structural engineer and author, Roma Agrawal MBE

Selected finalists will be invited to attend the annual V&A Innovate Pitching & Awards Day in the Summer Term 2021. A selection of prizes, including plaques, trophies and workshops with designers, will be awarded to winning students.

We are really looking forward to seeing what creative and original design solutions the students create this half term!
