Year 8 & 9 South Ribble Football Tournament

Last Tuesday, our Y8/9 football team travelled to Leyland St Mary’s High School to compete in the Y8/9 South Ribble Schools Tournament. The girls performed exceptionally and played 6 matches in extremely cold conditions. They showed great skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout and put in a great team performance.

The results:

We won 4 matches, drew 1 and lost 1, but lost by only 1 goal that was conceded very close to the end of the match. It really could have gone either way!

A very high standard of Football was played on the night from all schools. PGHS finished 3rd . A massive well done to the team, Phoebe B, Phoebe M, Daisy L, Sophia W, Jessica L, Georgia B, Chloe M, Isabelle M and Amelia M.
