Year 7 Music

Just before Christmas, we were lucky enough to borrow a set of hand chimes so that the girls could use these to play ‘Jingle Bells’. We have now invested in our own set of hand chimes and have most recently been learning ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ and ‘Happy Birthday’. In more usual circumstances, students would have been in the Music room and would have had access to a keyboard, which they would be using to facilitate learning to read and write using music notation. The hand chimes have allowed us to begin to develop our notation reading skills in a slightly different way and we hope to share some of these performances with you in the near future.
