Year 7 – Chromatography Experiment

It was inspiring to see the many colourful rainbows that Year 7 have produced as part of the Science work in the ‘Moving on Up’ booklets.

One of the topics covered in Science at KS3 is chromatography and is an easy experiment to do at home with just some kitchen roll and felt tip pens. This is a great introduction to Science at Penwortham Girls’ and a fun experiment to do. It is also a fitting tribute to the many rainbows that have been placed in the windows of houses and put on posters to thank the NHS for all their brilliant hard work during this difficult time.

Here are just a few of the rainbows produced by 7H and 7J. They include descriptions and are presented in a creative way.
