Sacred Objects

This term, Year 7s have completed their journey on the island. It is an excellent way to introduce Religious Studies at PGHS, as students explore how to establish religious harmony, equality and peace.

It has been lovely getting to know the students better through a show and tell of their sacred objects. It was difficult choosing who should appear in the newsletter, but the following students are from 7G and are here to tell you a little bit about their object.

Patricia and Barbara brought in items related to their culture. Patricia brought in her Polish dragon and Barbara brought in a Turkish cook book, which has been passed down through generations of her family.

Sofia brought in three items related to her Great Grandad. He was a chocolate lover who fought in the war! Sofia read aloud a beautiful poem that her Mum had written about him.
