Athletics

Attendance to Athletics Club has been amazingly encouraging and we are in the process of the preparation/selection for the final South Ribble Athletics Championships which takes place on June 21st.  This event is on Friday and starts at 8:30am, travelling by a coach to Stanley Park and returning to PGHS at 4:00pm. Please note that the Athletics Club after school has been moved to Tuesday due to staff meetings. Good luck for all the athletes competing in all events in the championships! 

Rounders

We started the rounders tournaments with year 10 on Monday 3rd June after school. Year 10 have smashed all the games, won all except one loss against All Hallows. Massive congratulations to all year 10 rounders players for achieving 2nd place in the tournament. Players were: Saskia H, Hattie C, Florence W, Harriet M, Tilly C, Zara H, Ebony M, Caitlyn C, Natalie U and Elizabeth BR.  Well played, all! 

There are more rounders tournaments planned in the South Ribble for Years 7, 8 and 9 at Priory Academy. All girls are to register at reception with their teacher at 3:20pm, walk to Priory after school and meet their teacher on the Priory’s field.

Year 8 Rounders Tournament: Tuesday 25th June

Year 7 Rounders Tournament: Wednesday 3rd July
