Passport Walks

On the 11th July over 300 students in years 8-10 completed the annual PGHS passport walk. The PGHS ‘passport to success’ is an important log of all student participation and achievement in extra-curricular activities and their contributions to the wider school community throughout the year.  Completion of the passport walks is an important milestone of the ‘resilience’ section, providing an opportunity for students to test their physical endurance in our local area. The Year 8 walk, led by Mr Ward, started at Lancaster Castle and ended at Glasson Dock. Year 9 and 10 students, led by Mr Ramsdale, began their walk on Lytham Green and finished at Blackpool’s North Pier. Students were able to celebrate the completion of the walks with ice creams and cold drinks on arrival to their destination.  The students showed a real determination to complete both walks in hot conditions and were excellent representatives of our school in the local area.
