Lili’s Charity Triumph

Lili has played football her whole life and was recently selected to be a ‘Miss Kick’ ambassador. Miss Kick is a brand that promote girls’ football and they aim to make young girls who are involved in the sport, feel supported in their training and part of a community. Ever since becoming an ambassador, Lili has thrived through the supportive community that Miss Kick offers and has helped her to grow in confidence. Steph Houghton is the England Women’s captain and unfortunately, her husband is battling Motor Neurone disease. She is an inspiration to Lili and the other Miss Kick ambassadors and so they wanted to do something to help the charity that is not only close to her heart but close the community’s hearts too. The ambassadors also decided to choose two other charities, which are ‘MacMillan’ and ‘Dementia Matters’. They called the event ‘Miss Kick March Miles’, where the ambassadors had to run/walk/cycle as many miles as they possibly could throughout the month of March.

The total distance travelled was 6084.63km, with Lili contributing a fantastic 400km to the total. Miss Kick ambassadors also raised an amazing £1317 which will be distributed equally amongst the charities! Well done, Lili!  You are an inspiration for many girls in sport and you should be very proud of yourself.
