Lancashire Equality Mark – Socio-Economic Equality Badge

Lancashire Socio-economic Equality Badge.jpg

We are very excited to announce that last week we achieved our third badge for the Lancashire Equality Mark! Last Friday, the school was awarded the ‘Socio-Economic Equality badge by Lancashire County Council.

The Lancashire Equality Mark is awarded to schools who ensure that they actively embed Equality throughout all their practice and enable all their students to thrive in a supportive learning community. There are six different badges to work towards, we had previously achieved the Race Equality badge and the Religion and Belief Equality badge and we are very pleased to announce that we have now also been awarded with the Socio-economic Equality Badge.

We had a virtual accreditation ‘visit’ from the council and it was a brilliant opportunity to share and discuss everything we do at Penwortham Girls’ High School to ensure that all our students feel supported and are given every opportunity for success. We are continuously looking for ways to nurture and encourage all our students and ensure that everyone in our school community has equal opportunities to learn, grow and flourish.
