Goodbye and Good Luck!

Miss Lofthouse first came to Penwortham Girls’ in February 2019 to complete her teacher training degree. Normally, a teacher training degree would be completed by somebody who was new to the profession, however Miss Lofthouse had actually already been teaching Mathematics for five years overseas. Her experience was evident from day one and she very quickly became a key member of the Mathematics department; sharing fantastic teaching methods that she had learnt abroad and delivering outstanding lessons to all her classes. We were delighted when Miss Lofthouse agreed to stay with us for an additional year; however, this year has now come to an end and it is time to bid a very sad farewell to Miss Lofthouse.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her exceptional contribution to the Maths department. She has been an invaluable member of the team and has been an incredible support to all of her students. She will be dearly missed by us all and we sincerely hope to see her again in the future.

Goodbye and good luck, Miss Lofthouse. Thank you for all you have done!

Mrs S. Walsh, Curriculum Leader for Maths
