Football

Football at PGHS started in September and successfully recruited the highest number in all of our extra-curricular clubs.  A large number of girls competed at the South Ribble Tournaments across the years.  Year 8 came 3rd and Year 7 came 5th at the mixed Year 7 and Year 8 tournaments.

Year 10 and 11 came runners up at the competition at Balshaw’s. It was a great team effort and the girls were unbeaten after completing all their games. The two top teams finished with level points, so it had to go down to goal difference to decide the winners. This reflects on their dedication and hard work. Well done, girls!

Additionally, we had several girls who were successful at South Ribble Football trials in Year 9 and 10. The girls who are successful at the trials were Evie M, Ebba G, Saga G, Tuva G and Rachel W. We have a number of girls in Year 7 and Year 8 currently going through the trials in their age group. Good luck to all our footballers!
