Festival of Performance and the Arts

The Music Department can’t wait to get back to performing ‘live’ music! Whilst we still can’t accommodate singing or performing in large groups, we would like to invite as many students as possible to sign up to perform in an ‘Open Mic’ lunch session and some impromptu music performances. We hope to hold these on the quad, if the British weather allows! If you know you have a budding singer or instrumentalist, singing or performing at home, then please encourage them to sign up to these events using the link on Class Charts. The atmosphere in school when these events take place is usually fantastic, with all pupils supporting each other and even singing along! The girls will be invited to perform their pieces first to either to Mrs Cattanach or Mrs Little so that we can ensure all the material is appropriate and suitable equipment can be organised. We hope as many people can take part as possible and look forward to making music ‘live’ once more!

Mrs Cattanach,

Curriculum Leader for Music
