Cross Country

It has been great to finally resume our fantastic, highly established extra-curricular activities, fixtures and competitions after a long period of restrictions. We started our Sport Clubs from September with a range of different activities at both lunchtime and after school.  In addition to this, we had our first interform competition of the year, which was the cross country.  This took place in November and despite the cold afternoon, we had an amazing turn out from all the year groups to complete the 2K course.   Lola U, Holly L and Enya H were the top 3 runners! Soon after, we continued with a dedicated team of runners at the club, practising for the South Ribble Championships.  It took place on Saturday 20th November at Hutton Grammar School.  Holly L came 1st in the year 7 race and Amaya U came in 9th position overall.  This is a brilliant result from our year 7 runners competing in the championships for the first time. Our year 8 and 9 team successfully completed the challenging course with some exceptional results.  Katherine W came 12th and Holly L and Amaya U were selected to represent our district in the next round of Lancashire Championships at Witton Park in February next year. Congratulations and good luck, girls!
