Cross Country Success

On Saturday the 5th of October, the PGHS cross country teams competed in the annual South Ribble Cross Country Championships. We had representatives from all years running throughout the morning and what a success it was! All girls ran competitively, with a significant amount of motivation which showed their pride to represent their school at such an important event. I was particularly proud of the participation of all our girls, as well as the success we achieved throughout the morning. The following girls finished in the top 20 in their race:

Katie M – 1st place in the U16 race.

Scarlett S – 5th place in the U16 race.

Eden S – 14th place in the U16 race.

Megan S – 19th place in the U16 race.

Grace A – 20th place in the U16 race.

Freya A – 3rd place in the U14 race.

Eloise W – 13th place in the U14 race.

Katie W – 15th place in the U12 race.

A fantastic effort from all the girls involved! Katie M, Scarlett S and Freya A will now go on to represent South Ribble at the Lancashire Schools Cross Country Championships at Witton Park in Blackburn.

Good luck girls!
