All around the country at this time of year, final year degree students in many Art and Design disciplines would normally be showcasing their final projects in a degree show. This would allow parents, potential employers and clients, as well as other students and visitors to see the work.
This year however, instead of people attending in person, many universities and colleges are having virtual degree shows instead – some are even interactive or available to view using VR headsets!
For those of you who may be considering taking college and university courses in an area of Art and Design, these are a great way of ‘experiencing’ what sort of final projects you might create. I still remember my final degree show (many years ago) when I studied Jewellery and 3D Design at UCLAN. As a result of this, I was given the chance to showcase my work at New Designers in London and even at an exhibition in Brussels!
Please follow the links below to see some exciting, original and sometimes bizarre final degree projects from Art, Graphics, Textiles, Fashion, Photography, Film and media, Industrial design… the list goes on! Some are from the North West and others are from further afield.
Enjoy!
