Year 8/9 Girls Shine in South Ribble Cup Final
On Thursday 22nd May, our Year 8/9 Football team travelled to Lostock Hall Academy to compete in the South Ribble Cup Final. The match was fiercely contested, with both teams showing great skill and determination. Despite several close chances, the score remained 0-0 at half-time.
In the second half, our girls continued to work tirelessly, displaying excellent teamwork and resilience. Unfortunately, Lostock Hall managed to break the deadlock with a goal and the match ended 1-0 in their favour.
Although the result didn’t go our way, we are incredibly proud of the team’s achievement in reaching the final. Their hard work, dedication and sportsmanship throughout the competition have been outstanding. Congratulations to all the players on being well-deserved runners-up!
