On 5th February, a group of Year 7 students had the exciting opportunity to visit the M&S archive in Leeds. During the visit, students explored the rich history of Marks & Spencer, learning how the company has developed over time and built its reputation for quality.
The day included discovering more about the textiles used in M&S products and the rigorous processes in place to ensure high standards are consistently met. Students also explored the science behind some of the company’s well-known food products, including how the iconic ‘Melt in the Middle Pudding’ was developed and successfully marketed.
A particular highlight of the trip was the opportunity to make and test their own ice cream, as well as tasting the famous pudding. It was a memorable and engaging experience that brought together history, science and business in an inspiring way.
