Textiles

At Key Stage 3, the Year 7 Textiles classes have been making some wonderful characters as part of their ‘Childhood Adventure Story’ theme. I have been really impressed with the creativity and ambition of the year group this half term.

Year 8 Textiles students have been showing improved confidence through the designing and making of their bags – they have even included an electronic element by sewing a circuit, including an LED, into their bag designs.

Following the mock exams, Year 11 have got their heads down and have immersed themselves back into their GCSE coursework.  Most of the class are now at the modelling stage and are beginning to realise what their final 3D products will look like. I am really proud of their attitudes and commitment to their studies. Keep up the good work, Year 11!
