Steel Signing Ceremony

As you know, we are having a new school building constructed and we recently launched a Steel Signing Competition so that students could write a message on the beams, which will become a lasting part of the new school.

Our winners, along with former Headteacher’s Mrs Pomeroy and Mrs Fitz-Gibbon and school governors were invited to visit the building site on Wednesday, 22nd October, to sign their special message on the beams of the new school building.

Mums, sisters, aunties, daughters (a large percentage of our community) came from Penwortham Girls’ and it turned them into the amazing women they are today. Penwortham Girls’ is an outstanding school and I am so proud to represent it.

Always keep your face towards the sunshine and the shadow will fall behind. Meaning, never be put down of what other people think of you. Always keep going no matter what and you will find your dream in real life.

Here at Penwortham Girls’, everyone is individual, yet we are still a community as strong as this steel, built upon our school values. We can become the best version of ourselves by being empowered to pursue dreams with no limitations.

Our friendships, laughter and hopes all make up these beams. They represent the qualities that make up our school community: kindness, courage and respect. Let everyone who takes part, find a sense of belonging, inspiration and determination to create a better future.
