Hello, Goodbye

On Sunday 27th September, current and former members of the Penwortham Girls’ High School community came together for a very special occasion, recording the soundtrack for ‘Hello Goodbye’, a film marking the transition from our current school building to our exciting new home.

The film explores themes of memory, connection and belonging, celebrating the countless experiences and achievements that have shaped life at Penwortham Girls’ over the years. The recording session provided a wonderful opportunity for past pupils to return to school and reconnect through music, with some performing and singing together in the hall for the first time in decades.

The day was filled with warmth, laughter and nostalgia as musicians and singers shared memories of their musical journeys at PGHS. It was particularly fitting that the soundtrack was recorded in the hall, creating one final opportunity to make music together in a space that holds so many treasured memories.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make this special project possible, especially the many former pupils who returned to take part.
