Founders Day Needlework

Year 7 and 8 students spent the afternoon of Founders’ Day doing needlework . Back in the 50s, these lessons were part of the broader home economics curriculum which included sewing, embroidery, mending, and other forms of needlework. Y7 and 8 worked hard throughout the afternoon to complete a bookmark using a variety of stitches including running stitch and cross stitch. A relaxing afternoon was had by all.
