Arkwright Scholarship

We are delighted to share some fantastic news from our student community.

Congratulations to Daisy, who has successfully been awarded an Arkwright Scholarship – a prestigious honour that recognises outstanding students with a passion and aptitude for engineering, design and innovation. This is a highly competitive process and Daisy’s achievement reflects not only her academic ability but also her determination, creativity and commitment.

To become an Arkwright Scholar, Daisy first had to submit a detailed application demonstrating her interest in STEM subjects, alongside evidence of her problem-solving skills and achievements. She then completed a rigorous aptitude examination designed to challenge her engineering thinking and analytical ability. Following this, Daisy attended a formal interview where she presented her ideas and discussed her aspirations with industry professionals. Successfully progressing through each of these stages is a remarkable accomplishment in itself.

As an Arkwright Scholar, Daisy will benefit from a range of opportunities that will support her future ambitions. These include financial support for her studies, access to mentoring from industry experts and enrichment experiences such as networking events and visits. The scholarship is widely recognised and will open doors as she continues her journey into further education and, potentially, a career in engineering or related fields.

We would also like to give a special mention to Abeeha, who also took on the challenge of applying for the Arkwright Scholarship. The application process is demanding, and putting herself forward in such a competitive field is an achievement to be proud of. We commend her effort, resilience and enthusiasm.

Well done to both students for representing our school so positively. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for them.
