Year 7 PGL Adventure Weekend – A Fantastic Start to Secondary School Life!

40 of our Year 7 students recently returned from an unforgettable weekend away at PGL, and what a brilliant time they had! From the moment we arrived, the excitement was palpable and the energy never dipped (until the journey home, when we were all more than ready for a well-earned rest!)

Over the course of the weekend, students took part in eight thrilling outdoor adventurous activities, each designed to challenge, inspire and build confidence. Highlights included the giant swing, where students soared through the air with squeals of delight; the trapeze, which tested their courage and balance and the ever-popular Jacob’s Ladder, where teamwork and determination were the keys to success.

Evenings were just as lively, with a silent disco that had everyone dancing (and singing along in their headphones) and a series of team games that brought lots of laughter and camaraderie. It was wonderful to see new friendships forming and students supporting one another throughout the weekend.

We were lucky with the weather too—sunshine and blue skies made the outdoor activities even more enjoyable. Staff and students alike made the most of every moment and the positive spirit of the group was truly heartwarming.

By the time we returned, there were tired smiles all around and plenty of stories to share. It was a fantastic way to kick off the secondary school journey and we’re so proud of how brilliantly our Year 7s represented the school.
