
This term has been an inspiring and action-packed one for all Year groups, as students across the school have been exploring exciting and meaningful Life Skills topics designed to help them thrive in and beyond the classroom. Year 7 have been diving into the world of safety with energy and enthusiasm, learning how to stay safe around railway lines and busy roads while also discovering the confidence-boosting essentials of First Aid—skills that could one day help them save a life. Year 8 have been broadening their understanding of the world by investigating Protected Characteristics such as age, race and sexual orientation, engaging in thoughtful discussions on prejudice and discrimination and learning how celebrating diversity strengthens our whole community. Meanwhile, Year 9 have been channelingtheir inner changemakers through looking atCitizenship, exploring the Youth Justice System and discovering exciting ways they can become Active Citizens who create real, positive change in their community. At KS4, students have been tackling big ethical questions in Core RS, examining how religious beliefs shape views on medical topics such as blood transfusions and genetic engineering, sparking deep conversations about the intersection of science, values and personal choice. Altogether, it’s been a vibrant term full of learning that prepares our students not just for school, but for life.
