Fuel for Success!

Hello! Miss Scott here. Welcome to a brand-new school year. Here are a few reminders to help you stay fuelled, focused and feeling your best with simple food and nutrition tips. Let’s start strong together!

Quick Breakfast Boosts

Breakfast powers your brain and body for the day. Try these easy options when you’re short on time:

  • Overnight oats with fruit
  • Whole-grain toast, peanut butter and banana
  • Yogurt parfait with granola
  • A smoothie with frozen berries and milk

Smart Snack Swaps

Hungry between classes? Choose snacks that give energy without the crash:

✅ Apple slices and cheese

✅ Air-popped popcorn

✅ Veggie sticks and hummus

 Hydration Reminder

Bring your water bottle! Staying hydrated:

  • Improves focus and memory
  • Boosts energy levels
  • Helps regulate mood

Fun fact: Even mild dehydration can make it harder to concentrate in class.

Nutrition Myth-Buster

“Carrots help you see in the dark.”

🔍 Truth: Carrots are rich in vitamin A, which helps with healthy vision but they don’t give you night vision superpowers.
