Diffusion – Movement into and out of Cells

The year 7 students have been studying biology this half term, learning about the structure of cells. Understanding the role of diffusion in the role of exchange of substance across cell membranes is a concept that underpins many aspects of biology.  This includes the adaptations of organs such as the lungs and the small intestine, where exchange of substances is vitally important. The year 7s have enjoyed making flip books to help them understand how particles move from areas of high concentration to areas of lower concentration.
