Design and Technology

We have had a lovely start to the term getting to know the new classes in Design & Technology. The D&T department would like to warmly welcome all new Year 7 students and hope that they will enjoy their lessons and that they will approach activities with plenty of enthusiasm. Years 7, 8 and 9 will continue to rotate around the 3 areas of D&T throughout the year so that they get an opportunity to experience Textiles, Food & Nutrition and Product Design and they will have the opportunity to make various products to take home. Please take note of the contribution due for D&T at Key Stage 3; it will now be showing on Parentpay, along with a letter to help explain its purpose.

Year 8s can look out for a Textiles club starting very soon (see flyer below). All Year 8 students are welcome to come along on a Thursday lunchtime where we will do plenty of practical activities. This will be a great way for Year 8 students to socialise while sharing their skills and learning new ones. Please see Mrs Moss if you need more details.
