As we bid farewell to our wonderful Year 11 students at PGHS, we want to take a moment to celebrate their incredible achievements, particularly in their Food Preparation and Nutrition studies.
Throughout their time with us, this year group has shown resilience, creativity and a strong work ethic; none more so than during their recent NEA2 (Non-Exam Assessment 2). This important component of their GCSE course required students to research, plan, prepare and present a range of dishes to a professional standard – they rose to the challenge beautifully.
From developing exciting new flavour combinations to mastering complex culinary techniques, the students demonstrated both skill and passion in the kitchen. Their final dishes were a true reflection of their dedication and the results were nothing short of outstanding.
We are incredibly proud of what Year 11 has accomplished. Not only have they met the demands of a rigorous course, but they have done this with enthusiasm, creativity and a maturity that promises great things for their futures.
We wish all of our Year 11 leavers the very best in their next steps and hope that they carry the knowledge, confidence and love of cooking that they’ve gained with them wherever they go.
Well done, Year 11! You will be missed!
Unfortunately, we cannot show you the amazing dishes they have created, but we can show you photos from last year. Look at these incredible dishes:
