Year 9 and 10 students toured Lancashire to visit a range of businesses, including a micro class in precision Michelin plating at Northcote, along with visiting Breda Murphy where we met the team and collected a picnic lunch provided by the deli. On the tour, we visited Mrs Kirkham’s Cheese, and Walling’s ice cream, along with a Fairtrade chocolate workshop. Within this food tour, students could expand their food knowledge where activities have been developed around the school curriculum and gained a unique experience of a range of food, food styling and processing and careers within the food industry.
